St. Paul’s holds Young Adult Adoration Night with Bishop

Young adults joined Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney for Mass and Eucharistic adoration in St. Paul Inside the Walls in Madison on Sept. 18 evening.

St. Paul’s and Catholic Campus Ministry of the Paterson Diocese held the Young Adult Adoration Night, which took place in the chapel.

Bishop Sweeney celebrated a Mass in English. Father Paul Manning, the diocesan vicar for evangelization, concelebrated the Mass.

Afterward, the bishop led adoration. Corazón Puro, a young adult community founded by the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, provided worship music in English and Spanish.

Several priests offered the roughly 50 participants an opportunity to receive the sacrament of reconciliation. The evening concluded with fellowship.

Bishop Sweeney will lead another Young Adult Adoration on Friday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. in St. Therese Church in the Succasunna neighborhood of Roxbury Township. It also will include music, confession, and fellowship.
