Villa Walsh reminded of St. Lucy Filippini’s faithful example

Villa Walsh Academy in Morristown on Sept. 20 welcomed Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney, who celebrated Mass.

On social media, Bishop Sweeney thanked the administration, staff, faculty, and students “for such a warm welcome and prayerful celebration.” The Religious Teachers Filippini administer Villa Walsh.

The bishop said the day’s Gospel reminded the faithful that Jesus calls everyone by name.

“We look to examples like St. Lucy Filippini [the Filippini Sisters’ founder], who heard and responded to that call,” Bishop Sweeney posted.
