The parish council of St. Thomas the Apostle in Sandy-ston and the Knights of Colum-bus of the Msgr. James Gacquin Council 12974 recently honored Deidre Burgos with the Volunteer of the Month Award.
Burgos was recognized as a St. Thomas member “who has inspired our parish and community by volunteering and supporting St. Thomas by her generous works.” Over many years, since the current church was erected, she has coordinated the annual parish picnic, coffee hours, potluck dinners, tricky trays, and craft/flea market/bake sales.
