The 152 members of the Class of 2025 of Pope John XXIII Regional High School in Sparta graduated on June 6 during a commencement ceremony that included a Mass in the gym. Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney was the principal celebrant and homilist of the Mass. Several priests concelebrated the Mass, including Father Paul Manning, Paterson Diocesan vicar for evangelization and education; Msgr. Michael Parisi; diocesan vicar general, president of the Catholic Academy of Sussex, and pastor of St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Mountain Lakes; and Father John Calabro, a Pope John chaplain and teacher. The valedictorian of the Class of 2025 was Zachary Nowel. The salutatorian was Benjamin Janiszewski. The Class of 2025 earned $36,746,741 in scholarships and financial aid.
