Pet Blessings around the diocese

Top: St. Joseph Parish in Mendham held its annual pet blessing on Oct. 6. Msgr. Joseph T. Anginoli, St. Joseph’s pastor and diocesan adjutant judicial vicar, blessed more than 40 pets in attendance. Treats were available for the pets and their owners. Pet food donations were collected and brought to the Randolph Animal Shelter. Above left: St. Peter the Apostle Parish in Parsippany held a Blessing of the Animals on Oct. 6 in honor of St. Francis of Assisi. Father Diego Monsalve, parochial vicar, was the main celebrant. Above right: The annual Blessing of the Animals was held on the lawn in front of Holy Spirit Church in Pequannock on Sept. 29 in commemorating St. Francis of Assisi and the love he showed for all of God’s creation. Father Stephen Prisk, Holy Spirit’s pastor and vice chancellor of the Paterson Diocese, conducted the blessings.
