Christmas at Nazareth Village celebrated in Chester

Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney visited Chester on Dec. 16 for Christmas at Nazareth Village, the Paterson Diocesan residence for retired priests. He celebrated a Mass, which was concelebrated by retired and active diocesan priests. A Christmas party prepared by the facility’s staff followed the Mass. Pictured in the photo at right are (from the left): Father Nico Quintos, diocesan minister to senior priests, who is pursing graduate studies; Father Brendan Murray, Father Lancelot Reis, and Father Alfred Lampron, retired priests; Bishop Sweeney; Father Nelson Betancur, a retired priest; Father Brian Quinn, Nazareth Village director and pastor of St. Matthew the Apostle Parish in Randolph; and Father John Andrew Connell, a retired priest and weekend associate at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in the Flanders neighborhood of Mount Olive Township.
