October is dedicated as the Month of the Holy Rosary in the Catholic Church, and to celebrate, St. Lawrence the Martyr Parish in Chester, N.J., held a Living Rosary evening on Oct. 21.
Father Nicholas Bozza, pastor of St. Lawrence, led parishioners in the Apostles’ Creed to begin and Hail Holy Queen to close the event.
During the rosary, people sat and, when approached, stood as an altar server lit their candles. They were then encouraged to begin their prayer in their native language. Many languages were represented. Parishioners also prayed the Glorious Mysteries while the screens in the church displayed video of the Ave Maria.
The parish plans another Living Rosary event next May to commemorate the Month of the Blessed Mother.
