Bishop Sweeney challenges Delbarton students to become inspiring leaders

On Oct. 3, Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney visited Delbarton School in Morristown, N.J., where the school community gathered for its annual Bishop’s Mass.

Bishop Sweeney celebrated the Mass, which was concelebrated by Benedictine Father Michael Tidd, Delbarton’s headmaster. Several students participated in the Mass, including as extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist, lectors, and liturgical musicians. The bishop’s visit also included meeting with a group of students.

Bishop Sweeney spoke with students about leading by example and how our actions can speak louder than words and inspire those around them.

Delbarton is a Benedictine Catholic college preparatory school that educates young men in grades 7 to 12 in mind, body, and spirit.
