The Knights of Columbus Bishop McLaughlin Council 3495 in Morris Plains recently presented $3,600 in donations to five charitable organizations during a Feb. 11 awards ceremony. The knights raised the proceeds from their Poker Night.
Grand Knight Gary Richenaker and Poker Night Chairman Mike Fichter presented the donations to the following representatives of the recipient charitable organizations:
- Father Lukasz Wnuk, administrator of St. Virgil Parish in Morris Plains
- Ted Wurster, president of Operation Jersey Cares
- Jenny De Paul, president and founder of Project Kind
- Bob Webster, assistant fire chief of the Morris Plains Fire Department
- Matt Chrystal, board member of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, N.J. Chapter. The donation was made in memory of Timothy O’Shea. His family — Marianne, Kelly, Patrick, and Catherine — were present.
The knights also presented certificates of appreciation to Anggie Feliz, manager of Jersey Mike’s in Morristown, and Tyler Marositz, manager of Dunkin’ in Morris Plains, for their food donations.
