Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, C.Ss.R., archbishop of the Newark Archdiocese, led an Advent day of recollection for priests of the Paterson Diocese on Dec. 2 at St. Paul Inside the Walls in Madison.
Cardinal Tobin invited participating priests to reflect on and prayerfully prepare to preach on the three great Advent figures: Isaiah, John the Baptist, and the Blessed Mother. Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney was among those who attended.
