Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney joined Our Lady of Fatima and St. Nicholas Parish in Passaic, N.J., on the evening of Oct. 13 to celebrate a Mass for Our Lady of Fatima, commemorating the anniversary of her final apparition to the three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal, on Oct. 13, 1917.
The event commenced with a procession through the streets surrounding the parish. Then, Bishop Sweeney celebrated a 7 p.m. Mass. Father Rolands Uribe, the parish’s pastor, and Father Luis Carlos Moreno, who is providing pastoral assistance to the parish, concelebrated the liturgy with the bishop. The event also included a reception.
