The 63rd annual carnival of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in the Haskell neighborhood of Wanaque was held from July 15 to 20. It featured rides, games, prizes, and homemade food.
The parish expressed its gratitude about the carnival on social media and its website. St. Francis thanked volunteers and benefactors who helped with the event and the parish family and neighbors “who attended and spent your hard-earned money to benefit St. Francis.”

“Our success is measured by more than money; it is measured by the witness of the cheerful, courteous way in which we welcomed our many guests. It is measured by the willingness of our parishioners to work long hours at difficult tasks. It is measured in the countless smiles of the children, the sounds of laughter, and the way families spent time together,” the parish posted.
