Students and faculty of Pope John XXIII Regional High School in Sparta donated 250 toys to Morristown Goryeb Children’s Hospital on Dec. 19. Senior Isabella Metternich organized the effort, which included students putting together a Giving Christmas Tree. Students and faculty picked ornaments from the tree from late November to mid-December. They purchased presents for the hospital’s patients in need for Christmas, which were displayed on the decorations. Metternich was inspired to give back to Goryeb Children’s Hospital because it helped her family find care for her younger brother.
