‘Box of Joy’ in its third year at St. Therese School

In 2024, for its third year, St. Therese School (STS) in the Succasunna neighborhood of Roxbury Township participated in Box of Joy, an annual Christmas “shoebox” gift ministry organized by Catholic schools, parishes, and groups across the United States and facilitated by Cross Catholic Outreach.

The outreach allows schools, parishes, organizations, and families to send gifts to Haiti, Guatemala, and other developing countries. A Box of Joy is a Christmas “shoe box” donated and filled with toys, clothing, school supplies, hygiene items, drawings, photos, and notes. Each gift includes a rosary and The Story of Jesus. It may be the only Christmas gift children in developing countries are blessed to receive. Once again, STS served as a local drop-off center.
