Sister Diane Moughan celebrates diamond jubilee

A celebration for Sister of Christian Charity Diane Moughan was held in Hayes Hall at St. Cecilia Church in Rockaway, N.J., on Feb. 14. More than 100 well-wishers attended the 60th Jubilee, many of whom shared memories of Sister Moughan’s many years of service in the Paterson Diocese in New Jersey.

Sister Moughan hails from Pittston, Penn. During her 60 years of religious life, she has served the diocese as director of religious education at St. Patrick Parish in Chatham. N.J., St. Joseph Parish in Mendham, N.J., Corpus Christi Parish in Chatham Township, N.J., St. Mary Parish in Wharton, N.J., and St. Luke Parish in the Long Valley neighborhood of Washington Township, N.J. She has also taught theology at Morris Catholic High School in Denville, N.J. She is currently the coordinator of the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults at St. Cecilia’s.
