Following the Mass, all those present whose names were Patrick (or Patricia) for St. Patrick’s Day or Joseph (or Josephine) were invited to come forward for a blessing, further recognizing the importance of St. Joseph and St. Patrick as revered Christian namesakes who inspire faith and community: “Through the intercession of St. Joseph and St. Patrick and all the angels and the saints, we ask God’s blessing on you, your families and your loved ones through Christ our Lord. Amen.”
