Parish holds monthly Respect Life Mass and procession

A Mass and rosary for life was held on June 1 at St. Margaret of Scotland Parish in Morristown. Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney was the main celebrant of the Mass. Concelebrating priests were Father Duberney Villamizar, pastor and diocesan vicar for Hispanic affairs; Father Dailon Lisabet, St. Margaret’s parochial vicar; and Father Yohan Serrano, spiritual director of the Hermandad Emmaus and Sussex County Hispanic community chaplain.

After the liturgy, the faithful processed in prayer on the streets of Morristown. They walked to a local abortion clinic, where they stopped outside to pray the rosary for an end to abortion. A few of them carried signs in English and Spanish, which promoted respect for life.

A Mass and procession for life is held on the first Saturday of the month at 8 a.m. at St. Margaret’s. Priests and faithful from around the Paterson Diocese are invited to join.
