On May 1, St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson held a Jubilee of Workers Mass in its chapel. The liturgy was held with the Paterson Diocese. It was one of many diocesan celebrations for the Jubilee of Hope 2025, which the Universal Church celebrates.
Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney was the main celebrant and homilist. Father Miguel Jimenez, a diocesan priest and St. Joseph’s chaplain, concelebrated the liturgy. Father Jared Brogan, diocesan worship director, was the master of ceremonies. Deacon Michael Pasquale, Structural Heart Program coordinator; Deacon Lawrence Duffy, pastoral care director of St. Joseph’s Health; and Deacon Roberto Demetillo, St. Joseph’s nursing director, assisted with the Mass.
