Last year, the Bishop McLaughlin Council 3495, a Knights of Columbus chapter affiliated with St. Virgil’s Parish in Morris Plains, N.J., formed a Charity, Unity, & Fraternity (CUF) team to support a Paterson Federation CUF degree and fraternal benefit event at the parish. Grand Knight Gary Richenaker and CUF ceremony team leader Deputy Grand Knight Dan Andretti led more CUF degree ceremonies this year, according to District Deputy Mike Spiecker. In addition to Exemplifying new brothers into the council, the ceremonies have been attended by members of other area councils. The latest ceremony on March 10 (pictured) brought the council to 100 percent of its membership goal for the current year.
