St. Anthony Parish in Hawthorne, N.J., hosted a pet blessing on Oct. 4 in its Jubilee Garden.
Father Stephen T. Prisk, pastor of St. Anthony’s and vice-chancellor of the Paterson Diocese, N.J., and Father Brendon J. Harfmann, the parish’s parochial vicar, blessed a colorful spectrum of pets, including dogs, cats, a hedgehog, and two tortoises.
The event attracted a wide array of people, including Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco, who serve the parish and school.
