Annual Our Lady of the Lake Parish Carnival
Tuesday, July 7 through Saturday, July 11
6 to 10 p.m. nightly on the parish grounds
For more than 35 years this Sussex County/Northern N.J. tradition brings together local residents and offers fun, food, and fellowship.
This year’s carnival features 15 major rides (largest lineup ever) ranging from toddler-friendly attractions to high-thrill rides, alongside 10 classic boardwalk-style game booths. A “Faith & Freedom” semiquincentennial celebration will be held Thursday, July 9, celebrating America’s 250th anniversary. In addition, there will be live music (a DJ throughout the week and a live band on Friday night), bake sale, classic Jersey carnival food from the grill, and local pizza.
The 2024 carnival raised more charitable funds than ever before, and event organizers are aiming for even more traffic and revenue this year. A major portion of this year’s proceeds — anchored by the “White Elephant” giant yard sale — will go directly to support OLL’s sister parish in Haiti, combining local summer fun with a powerful global mission.
Proceeds go to Sparta residents Scott and Chrissy Feely and their young family as they continue to navigate Scott’s recovery from a medical crisis.
Open to the public. Free parking.
(Discounted unlimited ride wristbands available online ahead of time at ourladyofthelake.org)
