Discalced Carmelite makes final profession

Sister Salome Bechirah of the Redeemer, a member of the Discalced Carmelites of the Most Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel, made her final vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience for life during a Mass on Oct. 11 in their monastery in Morristown. Sister Salone, from Gaum, made her profession before Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney, who celebrated the Mass. Father Brendan Murray, a retired priest of the Paterson Diocese, concelebrated the liturgy. Sister Salome’s family attended her final profession.
