The Morris County Chiefs Association sponsored a Mass of Thanksgiving for law enforcement on Nov. 8 at St. Luke Church in the Long Valley neighborhood of Washington Township.
Law enforcement personnel, their families, and the faithful attended the Mass to honor those who serve and remember the fallen. Msgr. Raymond Lopatesky, a retired priest of the Paterson Diocese, celebrated the 10:30 a.m. liturgy.
Msgr. Lopatesky is a full-time chaplain for the U.S. Secret Service and Law Enforcement Ministry director for the Morris County Police Critical Incident Debriefing Team.
A luncheon reception followed the Mass.
