Dr. Peter Kilpatrick, president of Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. recently spoke to the local educators about “The Future of Partnerships Between Catholic and Secondary Higher Education: Preparing Tomorrow’s Leaders for the Church and the World.” He spoke at a luncheon on Aug. 27 at St. Paul Inside the Walls in Madison.
The luncheon was attended by administrators and staff of the three diocesan Catholic high schools — DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne, Morris Catholic High School in Denville and Pope John XXIII Regional High School in Sparta — and the four Catholic high schools served by religious orders located in the diocese — Mary Help of Christians Academy in North Haledon, Villa Walsh Academy in Morristown, Delbarton School in Morristown, and the Academy of St. Elizabeth in the Convent Station neighborhood of Morris Township.
Kilpatrick also recorded an episode of the Beyond The Beacon podcast on Catholic higher education with Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney and Father Paul Manning, vicar for evangelization of the Paterson Diocese.
