The Paterson Diocese honored firefighters who dedicated their lives to serving others during the 10th annual Fallen Firefighters Red Mass on Oct. 15 in the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Paterson.
The Mass honored the following firefighters who died in the line of duty: Plainfield Firefighter Marques Hudson, Baltimore City Captain Dillon Rinaldo, Kinnelon Lieutenant Justin Bower, and South Bound Brook Deputy Chief Craig Konkie.
The following active-duty firefighters who died were also honored: Paterson Firefighter Robert Allen, Irvington Firefighter Barney Roundtree, Springfield Firefighter Antonio DeCampos, Newark Firefighter Rafael Padilla, and New York City Fire Captain Thomas LaBarbiera.
Special recognition was given to Little Falls Fire Chaplain Deacon Joseph Sisco, Little Falls Chief Vincent Dransfield, and Congressman William J. Pascrell III.
The diocese hosted the liturgy with the Paterson Fire Department.
