Academy of St. James instills students with principles needed for today’s world

The Academy of St. James in Totowa is excited to start the 2025-2026 school year registration process.

“We are a small Catholic school filled with dedicated long-term faculty and wonderful families from Totowa, Paterson, Clifton, Little Falls, and beyond,” said Lelia Pappas, St. James principal. “Our goal is to provide a challenging, academic environment entrenched with the values and principles needed in today’s world: kindness, understanding, wisdom, patience, and effort. We want families dedicated to their child’s education and willing to sacrifice to ensure this goal becomes a reality.”

St. James will hold open houses on Sunday, Jan. 26, after the 10:15 a.m. Mass and each morning from Jan. 27 to 29. Visitors are invited to join the school for Mass with Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney on Thursday, Jan. 30, at 8:15 a.m.

Schedule a visit by calling St. James at 973-956-8824.
