2 new statues, ambry blessed during Mass at Denville parish

St. Mary Parish in Denville on Nov. 17 welcomed Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney, the main celebrant of the 10 a.m. Mass of Thanksgiving. There, he blessed two new statues of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Joseph and an ambry, a box in which the holy oils are kept in Catholic churches. These were the remaining parts that were completed for the church’s renovation over the summer. The priests of St. Mary’s concelebrated the liturgy with Bishop Sweeney.
