With great hope, young adults come alive at SEEK 25

Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney traveled to Washington, D.C., from Jan. 3 to 4 to participate in SEEK25. The Bishop met many local young adults, especially those serving in religious orders in the Paterson Diocese.

On his Instagram page, he posted, “On this Feast of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, it’s a blessing to be at the SEEK 2025 Conference in Washington, D.C.”

Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, C.Ss.R., from the Archdiocese of Newark, celebrated Mass and preached this morning, noting that it was a wonderful “coincidence” to be together on the Feast Day of the ‘first American Saint’ and an even more beautiful coincidence to reflect on today’s Gospel (Jn. 1:35-42) when Jesus asks the disciples (and us), “What are you looking for?” And then he invites us to ‘Come and See.’ “

SEEK is a collaboration led by FOCUS, a Catholic outreach organization that shares the hope and joy of the Gospel with the world. FOCUS missionaries encounter people in friendship, invite them into a personal relationship with Christ, and accompany them as they pursue lives of virtue and excellence.
