Father Michael Szwarc, pastor of St. Luke Parish in the Long Valley neighborhood of Washington Township; Rosary Society members; and parishioners prayed a Patriotic Rosary at the Rosary Society’s monthly meeting on July 9.
Participants prayed each decade of the rosary decade and mystery of this rosary for the leaders of local and national governments in the United States. Each Hail Mary was dedicated to a U.S.state.
It was a powerful and moving experience for many participants, who felt deeply connected as they reflected on family and friends in different states.
