A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, Jan. 3, at 10 a.m. at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Wallington for Jolanta Lidia Londene (nee Rajski) of Wallington. She died on Dec. 26. She was 65.
Born in Lodz, Poland, Londene emigrated to the United States when she was 2. She grew up in Clifton and raised her daughters in Wallington before moving to Wanaque, where she had her son Casey. Later, she returned to Wallington to help her parents and remained there until her death.
Londene earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Montclair State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
“Jolanta was a dedicated and accomplished professional who was finance controller for the Diocese of Paterson. She approached her career with integrity and a deep sense of purpose. Her work positively impacted many, and the relationships she built along the way were the most rewarding part of her professional journey. Her commitment and unwavering kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she worked with. Jolanta’s love for her family and her Catholic faith were at the center of her life,” according to her obituary. “She will be remembered for her strength, warmth, and the joy she brought to those around her. She was a woman full of life. She was kind, caring, and warm, drawing people to her.”
Londene enjoyed baking, hosting family gatherings, gardening, and the beach.
Londene was the wife of the late Edward C. Londene. She was the mother of Jessica Caputo and her partner, Andrew Ostojich, Christina Roskoski and her partner, Jordan Max Chamberlain, and Casey Londene; the grandmother of Lydia Chamberlain; the sister of John Rajski and his wife, Barbara; the aunt of Valerie Sobers and John Rajski, Jr.; and the great-aunt of Evelyn, Harrison, and Vivian.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kamienski Funeral Home of Wallington at 106 Locust Ave. in Wallington.
