Celebrating 100 Years of Prayer
Led by Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney from St. Paul Inside the Walls to the Monastery of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel, concluding with Holy Mass and the blessing of a new shrine in honor of Bishop Fulton Sheen, the first homilist in our chapel.
Pilgrimage schedule:
- 10 a.m. Depart from St. Paul Inside the Walls, Madison, N.J. (Alternative joining point: St. Thomas More Parish, Convent Rd.)
- 11:30 a.m. Holy Mass celebrated by Bishop Sweeney at the monastery; blessing of the new shrine to Venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen; fellowship with refreshments and visits in the speakroom to follow.
Sacramental Grace and Jubilee Indulgence:
- Confessions available along the route and at the monastery
- Plenary Indulgence granted by the Holy See for this Jubilee year for those who visit our chapel under the usual conditions.
Logistics & Registration:
- While walk-ins are welcome, please register in advance to assist with preparations.
- Transportation: A return shuttle to your vehicle will be provided.
- Water will be available.
