‘Carmel Encounter’ Sessions

Morristown Carmelites close their 100th year with final “Carmel Encounter” sessions

Don’t miss this once-in-a-century chance!

Open to the public

This year the Monastery of the Most Blessed Virgin of Mount Carmel celebrates 100 years of Carmelite presence in Morristown, NJ. To commemorate the centennial anniversary, the monastery invites the public to attend an interactive session with the Discalced Carmelite sisters at their “Carmel Encounters” during the second week of November. These sessions will be the final eight days of opportunity to see the sisters and learn about the Carmelite way of life.

Encounters will provide insight into the Carmelite’s contemplative vocation, which is rooted in prayer, silence, and sacrifice for the good of the Church and the world. Visitors will meet a few sisters who will share personal experiences from their spiritual journey and answer guests’ questions. The event is completely free of charge, and no donation is expected; however, reservations are required.
