Chester parish seeks to help strengthen marriages with new ministry

St. Lawrence the Martyr Parish in Chester started a new Marriage Ministry on the night of Oct. 11.

Almost 40 people attended the evening, which began with dinner. The couples then went to the church, where Deacon Frank Owens led them in a ceremony to renew their marriage vows. Afterward, Father Nicholas Bozza, St. Lawrence’s pastor, blessed the couples.

The ministry seeks to strengthen all marriages. It will meet monthly or bi-monthly. Activities will include discussion groups, presentations from marriage experts, and social events to enhance the existing strong parish community.
