Catholic school eighth graders visit DePaul High School for Mass

DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne on Oct. 18 welcomed Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney, who celebrated a Mass for the beginning of the academic year.

Father Marc Mancini, pastor of St. James of the Marches Parish in Totowa and diocesan promoter of justice; Father Brian Ditullio, a DePaul chaplain; Father Stephen A. Delia Jr., parochial vicar of St. Mary Parish in Denville and also a DePaul chaplain; and Father Jose Zuniga, parochial vicar of St. Vincent Martyr Parish in Madison, concelebrated the liturgy.

Salesian Sister Theresa Lee, diocesan chancellor and delegate for religious, attended the Mass.

The DePaul community was joined by visiting eighth graders from St. James School and St. Gerard Majella School in Paterson.

Bishop Sweeney also blessed Sister of Charity Sister Jeanne Agans, DePaul’s vice principal, celebrating 60 years in religious life.
