St. Joseph Parish in West Milford welcomed Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney for an Advent visit on Dec. 8, when he celebrated Mass.
Father Jakub Grzybowski, St. Joseph’s administrator, and Father Stanislaw Slaby, pastor of Christ the Redeemer Parish in Manville, N.J., concelebrated the Mass with Bishop Sweeney. Father Slaby was conducting a retreat at the Passaic County parish that weekend.
Deacon Stephen McKenzie assisted with the Mass, and Ron Bakalian was the altar server. The choir included the voices of the visiting Franciscan Sisters of St. Elizabeth from Parsippany.
