Bishop Emeritus Arthur J. Serratelli on Oct. 13 took part in the annual Morris County Columbus Day Parade. The event featured floats proudly proclaiming Italian colors, firetrucks, marching bands, local dignitaries in convertibles, East Hanover Knights of Columbus in a Santa Maria float, and crowds of people celebrating Italian heritage, pride, and culture. Before the parade, Bishop Serratelli celebrated a 12:15 p.m. Mass at St. Rose of Lima Church in East Hanover, which was attended by visiting Italian police.
