Holy Spirit Parish in Pequannock launched a year-long preparation for its 75th anniversary in 2025 with a family barbeque on May 19 outdoors after 11 a.m. Mass. The event also celebrated Pentecost, the parish’s feast day. Knights of Columbus members grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. Children and teens played games and participated in activities, including volleyball, corn hole, Connect 4, ride-on cars, and sidewalk chalk. There also was entertainment by the “bubble lady.” Father Stephen Prisk, Holy Spirit’s pastor and diocesan vice chancellor, and Filippini Sister Marie Antonelli, parish school principal, encouraged parish families and school families to participate as a social opportunity.
