On Aug. 14, St. Clare Parish in Clifton, N.J., welcomed Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney, who celebrated a 7 a.m. Vigil Mass for the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary which the Church celebrated the next day.
Father Francis Conde, St. Claire’s pastor, concelebrated the Mass with Bishop Sweeney. Deacon Ronald M. Ronacher of the parish assisted.
During the Mass, Bishop Sweeney installed St. Clare’s altar servers and commissioned the parish ministry leaders and volunteers who serve the community. The altar servers were vested with a new cassock and surplice.
