60 receive First Holy Communion at Clifton parish

On May 16, 60 second-graders at St. Philip the Apostle Parish in Clifton, N.J., received Jesus’ Body and Blood in the Eucharist for the first time during two Masses in the parish church.

Father David Monteleone, St. Philip’s pastor, was the main celebrant and homilist during the first Mass, while Father Emerson R.P. Francisco, the parish’s parochial vicar, concelebrated.

During the second Mass, Father Francisco was the main celebrant and homilist, accompanied by his guitar, while Father Monteleone concelebrated.
