During the Universal Church’s Year of Hope 2025, Paterson Diocesan Choir helped ring in the Christmas season with joyous holiday music on Dec. 5 during its Christmas Concert of Hope at Our Lady of the Valley (OLV) Church in Wayne, N.J. In the Advent season, the faithful gathered for the concert to prepare for the greatest hope of all: the birth of the Christ Child.

Preston Dibble, director of the Diocesan Choir and of diocesan music, led the choir with Kristen Johnson, organist, and the Gramercy Brass Quintet.
Priests, religious, and laity enjoyed the concert. Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney and Father Peter VB Wells, pastor of OLV and Holy Cross Parish, also in Wayne, and diocesan director of cemeteries, offered remarks during the event.
