Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney on April 12 celebrated a 7 p.m. Spanish Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes (OLL) Parish in Paterson for Palm Sunday to start Holy Week. The OLL congregation received and held blessed palm branches to mark the observance of Palm Sunday, the day Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey as Savior and King. Father Jorge Castano, temporary administrator of Our Lady of Victories Parish, also in Paterson, concelebrated the Mass with Bishop Sweeney. Father Castano is also a parochial vicar of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Paterson.
