Forty students in pro-life clubs, peer ministers, and campus ministers of several Catholic high schools in the Paterson Diocese gathered for the “A Greater Love” workshop on March 25, the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord, at St. Paul Inside the Walls in Madison.
The day was filled with prayer, reflection, and theological learning. Participants explored the teaching of the Theology of the Body about the beauty of God’s plan for love, life, and human dignity.
The event started with a Mass in St. Paul’s chapel, celebrated by Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney and concelebrated by Father Paul Manning, diocesan vicar for evangelization and education. Several teens participated in the liturgy.

Members of Delbarton School and Villa Walsh Academy, both in Morristown; DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne; Morris Catholic High School in Denville; and the Academy of St. Elizabeth in the Convent Station neighborhood of Morris Township participated in the event.
Bishop Sweeney; Salesian Sister Theresa Lee, chancellor and delegate for religious; and the Culture Project led the event.
“It was a day of learning and growth for all students who came together to praise, reflect, and strengthen their faith,” Annamaria Zaccardi-Bock, DePaul’s campus minister, posted on the high school’s social media. She called the event “a testament to the power of community and God’s unwavering love.”
