‘Deepest appreciation’ for Corpus Christi Food Drive donations

We at Catholic Charities were honored by the generous donations and enthusiasm for our 2024 Corpus Christi Food Drive. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, instead of diminishing contributions in a time of great distress, our parishes and parishioners demonstrated a real connection to our ideals, embracing our brothers and sisters in need, consistently increasing our reach every year. Thanks to your support, our food pantries received 16,925 pounds of food, which will help provide more than 14,000 meals. We would like to demonstrate our deepest appreciation for the leadership of Carlos Roldan, Catholic Charities food pantry director; Deacon Peter Cistaro, director of the diocesan Permanent Diaconate; Father Richard Bay, pastor of St. Simon Parish in the Green Pond neighborhood of Rockaway Township, diocesan minister to senior priests, and diocesan chairman of priestly life; and our Corpus Christi Food Drive committee. We stand in awe and gratitude to all who contributed, including our incredible volunteers, the dedicated deacons of the diocese, and the committed staff members of our food pantries.
