The Knights of Columbus Marquette Council 588, on Feb. 23, initiated 12 members into the fraternity during its CUF (Charity, Unity, and Fraternity) ceremony. It was the largest initiation ceremony on record for the council, which works with Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Sparta, St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Ogdensburg, and Immaculate Conception Parish in Franklin. CUF stands for three of the four guiding principles of the fraternity, correlating to the first three degrees.
