Deacon Keith Farber, retired permanent deacon, dies

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on July 9 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fairfield Glade, Tenn., for Deacon Keith Farber, a retired permanent deacon of the Paterson Diocese. He died recently following an illness.

Deacon Farber was ordained in 1988. He faithfully served Resurrection Parish in Randolph for more than 10 years before retiring.

In 2001, he and his wife Fredricka (Fritzi) moved to the Fairfield Glade retirement community in Crossville, Tenn., where he then ministered for many years at St. Francis Parish in Fairfield Glade. They moved to West Virginia in 2023 when Deacon Farber had become ill.
