Bishop Serratelli’s garden grows food for body, soul

On August 1, the Memorial of Saint Alphonsus Liguori, Bishop and Doctor of the Church, our Bishop Emeritus Arthur J. Serratelli, displays the tomatoes and zucchini he has been nurturing in his garden. Bishop Serratelli continues to provide food for the soul and vegetables for the table to many friends and neighbors. God bless Bishop Serratelli and his abundant harvest of God’s goodness.

When we see a beautiful object, a beautiful garden, or a beautiful flower,
let us think that there we behold a ray of the infinite beauty of God,
who has given existence to that object.

 — Saint Alphonus Liguori
